Crown Events' Story

Together Susan and Sara offer a unique skill set that enables them the power to create enchanting events that captivate those in attendance. Throughout their careers, they have had the opportunity to work together on various events. It was a natural fit to embark on a joint venture together, continuing to bring joy and good memories to the host and their guests. They both feel honored when clients entrust them to plan some of life's most meaningful events.

Meet the Team

Principal

Susan Brychell

Susan has over 30 years of experience successfully designing and executing creative, awe-inspiring events in multiple settings. She has a genuine gift of capturing each client’s imagination to create inspiring experiences for the host and guests. As a former Miss Indiana USA winner, Susan started her career in events by utilizing her passion for the pageant industry as the Independent Producer of the Miss Indiana USA and Miss Indiana Teen USA Pageants for the Miss Universe organization for over eight years. Most recently, she led strategic events for Purdue University Northwest. During these sixteen years, she was responsible for hundreds of high-quality events such as large-scale fundraising events, conferences, corporate dinners, commencements, and intimate gatherings at the Chancellor’s home. Susan has also been instrumental in designing beautiful weddings in many venues tailored to the bride and groom’s unique vision. Susan is an "Accredited Event Designer," issued from the Institute of Wedding and Event Design, the top wedding and event design school in the USA. During her free time she enjoys, family, working out and gardening.

Sara Soneye

Sara brings over 20+ years of experience in marketing and communications in corporate, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. She has been tasked with diverse responsibilities throughout her career, making her a leader in communications, event planning, and creativity. Sara believes the details make an event go from ordinary to extraordinary. Throughout her career, Sara has served on multiple committees focusing on relations and equity, diversity, and inclusion. She also practices lifelong learning and attended Purdue Global and various professional development seminars and workshops to stay current in best practices. Sara is an "Accredited Event Designer," issued from the Institute of Wedding and Event Design, the USA's top wedding and event design school. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children during her free time. Her favorite family activity is camping and finding new places to enjoy the great outdoors.
